“Recipes from Smyrna” for our little heroes

Within the framework of their CSR scheme, ALPHAMEGA Hypermarkets participate in a six-week campaign, supporting Loucas Fourlas’ initiative “Little Heroes” which is dedicated to children with cancer. The said initiative represents a great cause as it supports paediatric cancer patients treated at the Paediatric Oncology Unit of Makarios Children’s Hospital, and spreads the powerful message: “No child should fight alone against cancer”.  To meet the objectives of the cause, ALPHAMEGA Hypermarkets join forces with ALPHA TV Cyprus, which delivers the campaign’s message to a large audience.

ALPHAMEGA Hypermarkets provide financial support to “Little Heroes” by offering part of the proceeds from the sales of a deluxe recipe book collection (6 volumes), dedicated to authentic recipes and stories from Smyrna. On a weekly basis and between the dates of 10/03 and 20/04, consumers will have the opportunity to purchase one of the six different volumes, each of which will be available for a period of seven days. Each volume will be sold for the price of €5.99 and will cover a different aspect of Smyrna’s gastronomy. The books are rich in descriptions that bring back vivid memories and evoke nostalgic flavors and scents of a city of extraordinary beauty and character.

The six volumes of the collection cover six different categories, namely: desserts, recipes with minced meat, pasta and rice, meat recipes, pies and pastries, and finally traditional favorites. In the event οf available stock of unsold books, sale will be extended for an extra week, giving customers the opportunity to purchase any of the six volumes.
